I had taken this image few weeks ago late in the afternoon. I liked the diagnal wing span but wanted to get feedback on the composition. The settings were -

    40D, Sigma 50-500 @ 500mm hand held
1/1600 sec, f/8 Mode: Av Exp comp: -2/3 ISO: 400

Adjusted exp, brightness, black in ACR. Applied few adjustment layers, bg nr and usm. All C&C will be appreciated.

Tech settings look good and you were able to focus properly .... most difficult for the camera are birds coming at it !!

From the water drops behind seems like it was going to turn? A banking shot would have been great, flat looking at you are not at their best !! Do like the diagonal presentation and the slight extra space to the left in direction he is turning !!!

Hi - Agree with AL - Do like the diagonal composition - but the pose is not the most flattering. impressive wingspan though. Techs look good.
    Keep em coming :)

    Hi Indranil,
I like the diagonal flight capture. Mr. Pelican looks like one giant glider, nice and graceful starting his banking to the right...all techs. covered and good advise given...I'm looking forward to your next one...
