Australian Spotted Crake - loosing some light
Canon EOS 30D EF400mm f/4 DO IS USM +1.4x 1/200Sec. F11 -1 EC ISO Speed 250 Manual (MF).
Found the BG on this one a little random, so played with the light to accentuate the parts of the bird which were naturally highlighted. After and before and shown.
Thoughts appreciated.

You did a great job of concealing the background, keeping the detail n the bird. Good job!
I like what you did with the light regarding shadows It is difficult to make an image in mixed light Did have a considerable improvement !!!!..... btw nothing like soft light !!!
