    Default Hawk Owl

    1D M2n, 600mm.. 95% of frame... baited

I was out shooting the other day, and it seemed like a lot of things didn't go my way, so I decided to post another Hawk Owl taken a few weeks ago...

    All the best!

like this kind of composition a lot. just wishing a wee bit of space on top & to the left of the frame (just a little more).

I like it Brandon! The eyes make this image for me, so bright, sharp and intense. I think a little off the right (loose the little branch) and bottom (and maybe clone out the other little branch) would make it still stronger. A pretty image!

    Hey Brandon,

Love the pose, light and perch. I would clone out the very last branch to the right of the frame.

Great placement on subject if a little tight, I would also get rid of the little branch.

    Very beautiful image, congratulations!

I like this composition a lot Brandon showing good lighting and detail. Yes the needle-like projection below the tail is a bit distracting IMO. Well done!!!

I also echo the comment about getting rid of the branch on the right. A bit more headturn towards the camera would have made this even better IMO. Otherwise excellent that perch is to die for!!!
