    I like the raised crest, head angle and BG and would try to remove the magenta cast. I wish the light were less harsh.

    I remember that day well Gary! Nice pose and BG. I'd tone down the perch a bit and try to control the whites on the head.

    New species for me:) Nice posture and perch, pity about the harsh light? I would tone down the whites a tad?

    What a beautiful little kingfisher. New for me too. I love the background, and the perfect head angle. Good advice given above.

    Where? What was the situation? In addition to the above the bird looks quite glassy-eyed. The SQ crop works well with the small bird and the Y perch.
