    Default Shoveler shoveling

Here's a Northern Shoveler doing what he does best from my recent So. Cal. trip.

Fantastic techs!! You nailed the difficult exposure! Maybe a tiny CCW rotation?

Hi Doug. Nice moment caught and I like the drop of water on the head. I agree with Ofer- the horizon appears slightly tilted.

Doug - for me, the two droplets on the head really make this photo. It almost seems like the bird is actively juggling them so they don't roll off. Great exposure and focus. Not sure if I like the centered subject and wonder if removing some canvas below the bird might make it a bit less static.

Great colors and eye contact, but the two drops are making the image here. Very nice.

Here's a repost with a little CCW rotation, a bit removed from the bottom, and a few other changes. How's this one look?

Looks like you fixed the rotation. I am not sure about the pano presentation though. With such beautiful BG I won't mind seeing some more room all around.

Great job getting this Shoveler in action feeding as I too like the water drops balancing on top of the head really well captured.

I definitely like the repost. The rotation and cropping some off the bottom makes the image a keeper IMO.
