Fantastic techs!! You nailed the difficult exposure! Maybe a tiny CCW rotation?
Hi Doug. Nice moment caught and I like the drop of water on the head. I agree with Ofer- the horizon appears slightly tilted.
Doug - for me, the two droplets on the head really make this photo. It almost seems like the bird is actively juggling them so they don't roll off. Great exposure and focus. Not sure if I like the centered subject and wonder if removing some canvas below the bird might make it a bit less static.
Great colors and eye contact, but the two drops are making the image here. Very nice.
Here's a repost with a little CCW rotation, a bit removed from the bottom, and a few other changes. How's this one look?

Looks like you fixed the rotation. I am not sure about the pano presentation though. With such beautiful BG I won't mind seeing some more room all around.
Killer image Doug , lovely control over techs and repost looks better IMHO

Very nice Doug,
I like the repost better, nice details and water drops on the head!!!

Great job getting this Shoveler in action feeding as I too like the water drops balancing on top of the head really well captured.
I definitely like the repost. The rotation and cropping some off the bottom makes the image a keeper IMO.
I loved the two water drops on the head, nice pose, details and angle Bhai...
repost makes this 100% to me. no words
One more vote for repost. Wonderful image Doug! love the warm light and the perfect eye contact. Exposure looks terrific!
Great shot Doug! Love the pano crop myself. Also the two water droplets on the crown and the saturated eye! Looks fab mate!
lovely colour and detail of a very pretty bird .. might try just a "snick" more ccw rotation
