Hi Ofer. What a gorgeous fisher profile. I love the vibrant luster of the plumage.

Very nice Ofer, the colors are really saturated and nice. Is the blue always so intense or is it the light that has created the intense saturation? perch and BG are nice too, just a slight head turn towards you and bang on. Mazel tov and TFS.

Gorgeous plumage, great detail, and a nice perch. Wish only that the bird were looking slightly towards us.

    Thanks for your comments everyone!
Arash, the colours are intense but the light has to be perfect to give this saturated effect. This shot was taken in late afternoon when light was really great.

Beautiful bird, I like the eye contact, sharpness, light and BG. I might desaturate the turquoise plumage a few points.

Thanks for your comment and suggestion Axel. I usually don't selectively saturate or de-saturate parts on the bird as it will un-naturally interfere with the colour balance of the bird. The turquoise in here is just as it should be IMO. The same bird lives in India so I would love to hear what our Indian members have to say about the colours.

I have never seen this species and just looked at the histogram. I wouldn't be surprised if it is a sRGB conversion issue.

This is interesting. I just checked the histogram and it looks like the blues do need to be toned down. However, to my eye it looks exactly the way it should. I process thousands of photos each week and I have learnt that sometimes histogram shows colours in a way that doesn't look right to the eye. I wonder what other think regarding this issue.

Out of curiosity, does the histogram of the TIF file look significantly different?

I often have similar problems with the orange/red bills of oystercatchers. Sometimes I save those as Adobe RGB since most people have color-managed browsers anyway.

I think that plumage is THAT electric only , most of the time people feels it is way oversaturated
I will try to dig out my image & will post soon

Wonderful shot Ofer - so rich and vibrant. I didn't realise this species got that far west.
