The colors are not totally peak because he's got a nest and color rapidly fade after they have a home going (sounds familiar? :p)
Anhinga Trail ENP, last Sunday morning. Cropped from right for composition. Testing ISO 800 in the 7D. Pretty good.

    Model: Canon EOS 7D

Hi Fabs. The composition is wonderfully done, not to mention the colors and textures. My only wish is that the black wing plumage on the bottom left corner matched the rest of the bird.

Agree with Arash here, great BG, detail and neck curvature.
Have you recently moved to Canon, Fabs or just trying Al's gear?

Great exposure control, sharpness, pose and BG. I think it works as presented and am wondering what it would look like with a bit more room at the bottom for the 'virtual' bill.

Great comp, love the colors too. The details are great and not much noise for ISO800.

Great colors in the background. I like the way the wing angles out the left side.

Got some super detail here Fabs! How good is this? You Floridans are really tempting me to come over and photograph these domesticated waterbirds. :D Congrats on a very appealing and powerful image. :)

    Hola Fabs!

You are certainly getting some very nice images with that 7D!
Love the careful composition (which is classical with you!) and the warm/green BG.

I would just suggest a bit of crop on left, just to get rid of the lightest feathers.

Great composition Fabs. A lot to learn from this image. Thanks for sharing. One of your best images, IMO.

The beak gently tucked in the shoulder, or preening, the s curve of the neck, the partially open beak, eye colors awesome and the crop make this one special image Fabs. Thanks for sharing this lovely portrait.

I love this one Fabs, the composition is just fantastic and perhaps the colors of the bird are not totally peak but for me they lokks really fantastic. I love the detailed texture of the feathers and the "despeinado" look of the bird ;)
