    These pretty little parrots are inland Australian birds. This was along a roadside at Lake Cargelligo, 600km west of Sydney.

    Very neat looking bird. Looks very diminuative in size! Not the best perch, but I suppose they like these barbed wire fences:). There seems to be a halo, or light area, behind the back. Don't know if its there in the RAW file, or if it is the result of post processing, but either way it could be tamed in PS. Thanks for sharing!

    Nice one Nevil; love the warm glow. Don't mind the fence. It's where you see them in the late afternoon.

    Lovely BG, plumage texture and colours, Nevil. Perch not ideal but tells it's own story re habitat. A little fill flash may have been an option to open up the shaded areas on the wing/tail - the angled light shoes the texture on the head/crest nicely.

    No the best light angle or perch, but very interesting bird. To my eyes, it could use a little more sharpening in the face. Thanks for sharing.

    Nevil this is really cute bird and thanks for sharing.
    here is what i would do. little sharpness and clone out that dark patch on right top.

    Lovely species Nevil, fantastic BG and great eye contact. Mital´s repost improves a lot the image for web presentation
