    Default Hot pursuit

This red-tailed finally decided to chase off a stubborn crow in a show of authority.

This image doesn't quite pass the usual IQ standard but I still like the interaction and pose on the birds, thought I'd share it with you.

7D + 400 f/5.6L f/8 1/1600sec ISO 800 meter +1EV off the sky plus highlight shadow in post, crop, NR and sharpen.

Arash, the image is absolutely wonderful. A fabulous moment caught! BTW, this image has an emotional effect on me because the crows always gang up on my red-tailed hawk during in the spring. It's very aggravating! I'm glad this hawk took a stand. Best, Amy

Fabulous action shot, Arash. I love the contrasting wing positions, the determined look in the red-tail's eye; and you can just hear the CAW of the crow. I watched a group of crows mobbing a red-tail in my neighborhood yesterday. Let's hear it for the hawk!

True about the IQ, but what an interaction man. The crow looks scared and screaming, the hawk looks really angry. Nice that you caught the moment. Well done.

Excellent. Like the role reversal a lot here. I also saw a copper's hawk chasing a crow today. Excellent head angle for both...not easy to get that. Well done Arash.

I love this! Wonderful action and behaviour shot! IQ suffers from what looks like a big crop but this is still an impressive shot.

Hi Arash, I like this very much. The action is fantastic. The crow calling and the intense stare of the hawk really helps tell a story. If this were mine I would explore how adding some canvas to our left and perhaps a little on the bottom would effect the presentation. Very nice as presented though. Thanks for sharing.

Terrific action, and IQ isn't really THAT bad :)
I like the wings going in opposite direction and the expression on both faces.

Incredible action captured Arash! Nice to get both birds in focus. The hawk looks incredibly focused and the crow looks incredibly scared. Perfect!
