Hi Rodney, I like your image. I like the composition and how you left the room to the left for the bid to fly into. The pose is nice with good detail of the top of the wing. I like the head angle. In a perfect world I would wish for a little more separation of the head from the wing and that the dark band did not interest with the head. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely dorsal view with great colors and sweet BG. Good placement in the frame too.

    Rodney:

Well captured, with fine banking pose. I appreciate the separation comment from Phil, but there is a tiny line of water showing, which helps.

The darker line in the water that intersects the head is faint enough that it doesn't bother me too much.

    Keep working it!

Thanks for all the comments. I do wish there could have been more separation between the head and wing. For not it is probably one of the best flight pictures of a Great Blue Heron that I have. Hopefully I will be able to get some more great ones in the future.

Nicest flight image of a GBH I've seen in a long time. Good soft BG and great position. Excellent.
