    Hi Everyone,
    Here is another shot in the series from Reifel Bird Sanctuary near Ladner B.C. Caught this drake and his mate emerging from the bushes down near the water.

    Stats: Canon 50D, 500 F/4 with 1.4X, ISO 800, 1/100 at F/8, Beter Beamer, Flash with -1 1/3 EC.

    Steve:

    I like the opposing head angles of the two. The drake is sharp, just a little hot on the whites on bill (very common for these guys)

    I might consider tweaking the catchlight in the females eye, its a bit distracting.

    The big issue is the bushes in front of the birds. I believe you could burn them in a bit to decrease their impact, but it will still be a bit cluttered looking.

    I think Randy covered all points very well here but still I like this image as showing habitat
