    D2xs 600mm lens blurp bean bag. 1/350 @ f8 iso 640

    photographing these large grey subjects is always difficult, its ok if they are in the distance , but close up I always seem to struggle and can be very frustrating ... so tried to do something different and isolate different body parts ...

    small crop , wished i had more room at bottom but not to be...

    Love the idea here very graphic... Agree with you on room on the bottom!

    Great idea isolating body parts !!! B&W treatment sure works for the elephants !! These images allow endless tweaks, might increase congrats a bit !!! I like it a lot !!!

    Apart from your own self-critique, this really works in B&W, well done Peter. The detail in the skin & hair plus the lighting are first rate.

    Hi Peter,
    A few days back, I was working on a similar idea on elephant foot. :D Will share when I could get a little bit of time to convert. As you have mentioned, a bit of room at the bottom would have been good. I like the background. The black and white conversion has helped.
