would have perferred some less space from top and a bit more on the sides, but great angle, good pose and the raised feet put this over the top..

I like the bird a lot, perhaps a bit more sharpening of the head.
The pose is excellent and the white shells are nice addition to
    the image here.

Beautiful low angle and nice posture. Could perhaps do with another round of sharpening?

I like the angle, pose and eye contact. Another vote for more sharpening and I would lighten the eye.

Talk about low angle! Great pose with the raised foot. Sharpening has been noted. Plumage color seems to be a bit on the cool side compared to my Sanibel Sanderlings from a few weeks ago, but I suppose light and time of day can make a big difference. Was this Auto WB as shot? Handsome image; well done.

Hi Don, I liked this one right away. :)

I'm first struck by the even and unstressed exposure... very nice. Also like the closeup low-angled view.
The light seems warm to me and the image shakes off a slight yellow cast when blue highlight level is brought back to about 245... (personal preference maybe).

What looks like a bit of BG noise is apparently compression artefacting... this file as posted is only @88kb. The focus and DOF look very good so I think some sharpness may have been lost to that as well. I would re-save it with less compression before sharpening further.

    Very pretty shot,

    Kenn

Kenn, thanks but I guess my PS knowledge isn't sufficient to follow the "yellow cast when blue highlight level..." Can you explain further.

I will resave at a higher quality.

Kiran, I don't have any more space on the right. I agree with a bit less space on the top. Thanks.

Thanks for your comments. Very kind and very much appreciated. I was laying flat on my belly with the back of my hand on the sand and the foot of the collar in my palm.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Don,

Sure. Here's a screenshot showing the Levels dialog with the minor adjustment I made. The image shows the slight shift in color tone achieved by this tweak.

The color of the sun light shifts naturally from sunrise to sunset of course. So this is not really a critique of your photo as much as it is a statement of my preference of white balance in this case.

    best regards,

    Kenn

Repost looks better on my monitor. Great looking bird and clean BG. I would only suggest to clone the smaller catch light.
