I wish I was that lucky with a meadowlark! Good detail, sharpness, pose, HA, catchlight, and overall a very good image. I'd place the bird further right in the frame, but that may be personal preference. Well done! regards~Bill

Very nice shot Dan. I like the pose and very sharp. The yellows look very rich. I also like a bit off the right. Dave

I'm wondering if a little fill flash would have evened out the right side. Hard to say ! But love to see a minus 3 flash !
Actually nice picture with great yellows, eye sparkle and great background.

I like the bird, very nice plumage. I envy you how close you got to it.
I would try a vertical frame too, I think it might work here.

Light, eye contact and head angle look good. I could see this as a vertical crop, too, and wish the angle were lower.

Excellent image Daniel! You are a lucky man! Lovely light and BG. Head angle is spot on. I would only suggest to clone a dust bunny in the LRC.

Oh Danny Boy - We have these guys at our farm all summer and I've never got a shot yet, even with my blind. Beautiful capture with intense color. The yellow is quite sulphur colored - pretty cool. I like barbed wire shots, by the way.

Thanks all for the comments. I missed the dust spot, I think it's a distant BIF actually!

Danny, thanks but I would trade the meadowlark for your kingfisher any time!
