Hey HB - I remember this bird and I still think it might be the most beautiful bird in the world. I like its little feet, like our own belted kingfisher in Missouri. A very ornitho-angelic photo here, by the way. Made my evening, my friend.
Stunning shot!! Just wondering why you chose 200 iso when you obviousely needed all the light you could get. I assume shooting 1/20sec with the 600mm would have left you with much less keepers....
Gorgeous Harshad! Beautiful pose and sharpness. The colors are rich and vibrant.:)
Makes my Tanzanian Malachite Kingfishers look pretty lame! Bravo on your technique for the fine IQ at 1/20!
Lovely looking photo Harshad. Loks of very fine detail and a very cooperative bird. good for you. Dave
You have absolutely nailed it at 1/20 !!!! Looks like you had already got some winners at higher ISO and then your love for ISO 200 must have compelled you to try this one . The outcome is amazing !!
phew..stunner..i dont think I can ever get bored with this bird.
Thanks for Sharing Harshad.

Great image Bhai, nice to see these colours back.. we love it..
This is such a beautiful bird, the colors are stunning, good eye contact and BG, too.
Oh, man those are really crazy colors,
I love it of course. The pose is very nice even though not
a typical portrait one. It makes the bird look inquisitive.
Good heavens Harshad, the colours are almost unbelievable! Fantastic sharpness, especially for 1/20. I really DO have to get to India:eek:
please keep them coming Bhai, superb image in every respect... I am with you 100%., if the dang bird sits still, and you have a few minutes, iso 200, mirror lock up, and f5.6 was a very wise choice.
awesome.
Absolutely spectacular! The pose is perfect to show this stunner to his best advantage. You can post all of these that you want -- I'll keep looking and loving them.
Fantastic image in all aspects!

Harshad.....one thing that gets noticed less because of the awesome bird and its colors is the exquisite bokeh in this image. I'd take any bird on this background. And you got one of the best. huge congrats.
I am speechless  it seems it could come from one of my kids' comics. Fantastic, really!
Harshadbhai,
This is simply beautiful. The colors are superb. Great head angle and sharp eye contact. I like the composition, image and capture...congrats...well done...
Harshad, me thinks you planed this repost and I am very please you did for us 'newbies':D
The detail and focus is where it should be, but if I didn't know better, I thought it might have been an April fool joke with the vivid colours. Like it very much!!!
