    Default Wood duck

I thought of sharing this picture of the wood duck taken last spring as the male has all his gorgeous colours. The early morning light here gave me the chance to get most of them!!

Hi. Extremely well done! Whites in check, detail, color rendition and pose excellent. The lighting is excellent as well. Normally I'd say something about the overkill with the shutter speed, and that 1/2500 sec would have done as well and you could have used a lower ISO with less of a noise penalty, but noise is not a problem with this image! The camera? Perhaps a bit tight in the frame. Well done! regards~Bill

Not my favorite pose of a wood duck, but the light looks good; good details, too.

One fine image Lise !!! This is one sweet image, love the pose, detail and wing position. Bg looks great and low angle just takes it over the top !!! Big Congrats on this one !!!

    Hi Lise,
I like the composition, image and action captured with the forward wing flapping...The color rendition and fine feather details are spot on. You have a very good head angle and sharp eye. The background compliments your duck quite well...congrats...

Hi Lise - like this a lot - sweet light - lovely colours, Good Ha and wing separation.
Looks like a little bit of a halo under the beak.
    Excellent image - congrats :)

Everyone has said it all. This is a terrific image - I like the fact that it isn't a usual Wood Duck image.
    Congrats
    Cheers

Definitely a beauty, Lise! One little dust spot (?) beneath the wing, in a light area of the water.....
