    Default Proud Harlequin Duck

Photographed at Barnegat Light two weeks ago in the morning. I liked the pose in this one.

Like the pose, exposure, and sharpness. Good eye contact too. Perhaps a bit more canvas bottom and left.

Axel....loved the pose and the catchlight. I am thinking that sliding the black slider a little to the right might give some more pop.

I like his pose, too, and I really like your exposure. These ducks are not easy!

Quite a proud fellow. Great detail and exposure. Agree with a tad more space on the left; otherwise a fine image.

Nice and sharp, Agree with comments above, comp is a bit too centered.

I like the pose, and the comp as is. There is much more room in front of the bird than there is behind the tail anyhow. I also like the water texture.

    Proud indeed.
Very handsome duck. Good exposure and composition. I also wish there were more room on bottom.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions, it's much appreciated. I didn't add more canvas on the left side because the head of the duck is relatively far back and it seemed more balanced this way.

At high tide because of the angle.

I really like the way this birds head is...do they strut like a Buffleheads or Goldeneyes?
As always sharp, perfect exposure..like it good luck tomorrow
