Theme: Snowy Blur

I merged 2 images together. One was an in camera tree blur (1/5 sec. at f/16, 100 ISO)that I applied Topaz Simplify to and the other was a snowy owl. I did some clone-clean up on the owl.

EDIT: I don't know why, but I thought the one with the blurred wing owl was cropped. It isn't as I look back, so I had to edit the response.

Agree with Gus...the deeper colors against the snow owl really makes the image special. You do great blurs, Denise.

Beautiful composition, Denise. I too like the first one. Nice colors of the trees and underbrush and the effect from simplify. Just curious, if the in-camera motion blur on the tree came out slanted as presented or did you use distort.

Indranil, They are as shot. I was initially drawn to this grouping of trees because they all appeared to be bent-yet straight if that makes any sense.:)

Actually it works well in this case, IMO. It is as if you are panning on the owl and the motion blur on the trees probably would have been similar directional or at least the feel of it.

Very nice, Denise. Love the colors and motion, and the first one is my favorite too. I like the vertical blur on the trees, though just for curiosity I wonder how it would look with a horizontal blur. Well done.
