I guess it must be Christmas, as the cute shots are coming out. So, keeping the theme...

This is a cub from my favourite Leopard, 'Beauty' from the Botswana Delta. She use to use the camp as a local creche for her cubs, dropping them off in the morning, then collect him/her in the afternoon. Over the time I have got to know Beauty well, however her parenting skills left a lot to be desired.

This cub was about three months old, playing and hiding in the tail, long grass hidden away from sight waiting for Mum, but quite often the curious side would come out, meaning he/she would need to investigate. Sadly on returning back to camp a year or so later the news was that the cub had not survived. Life in the bush is hard!

Well, on a brighter note she has another, and doing well and she was so proud she offered a glimpse of her new offspring. Perhaps the next chapter will be Beauty, or the two week old cub?:D

Love the detail and look in his eye.
I find it a bit tight....but these leopard cubs are very cute indeed.

Fine detail and lighting here Steve, with a great story.
I'm going to mention the cropped ear, because I know your a perfectionist. ;)
Would love to have this nonetheless.

Hi Steve Might crop out the white part of the ear, would look more deliberate !!

Like tight crop making the face large in frame, concentration and that eye !! Sweet image !!!

Brilliant, the eye detail is simply stunning. Having chased leopards personally (unsuccessfully) and still trying to get some decent pics, I can imagine the joy/satisfaction you can get from such a pretty shot. I have admiration for anyone who shoots Leopards :-)....it's a tough job !

Cute cub, I like the re-post.
