    A little different view of the buffalo:cool:. Taken in Yellowstone NP with the digital Rebel and the Canon 100-400 lens at 180mm at ISO 200, f6.3 at 1/800 of a sec. handheld. I think they roll around in the dust to give them relief from the bugs :confused:....but not sure. This is when he got up to shake himself off. As always, comments appreciated,

    I like that the image has some nice action and shows behavior. A bright area in the top portion of the frame is a litltle distracting. A little crop off the right side of the frame would get the bison out of the center of the frame.... A fine effort for sure...

    I like the action and details you have captured here Roman. I would love to see the frame a bit larger, with more of the dust cloud. Yes, these animals probably dust bath to get rid of insects, just like zebras and wildebeest for example. Another explanation is to get rid of loose hairs and other dirt or dead skin. Also the dust could possibly protect as a sun protection.
