    Default The Art of Hunting

    Attached Images Attached Images

Made images of the white eyed buzzard juvinile hunting snake ( the juvs have real black eyes which turn white as they grow). this image shows how the bird peeled out the skin of the snake before swallowing it. It also ate the skin seperately. I had first made a vertical crop but settled for this instead.

Great capture of this moment. Light, sharpness and setting look good. The legs look a bit overexposed but that should be easy to fix, it's probably just a sRGB conversion issue.

Nice capture, and the bird seems to be telling you to stay well away. Unfeathered legs similar to those of Snake Eagles. I see no overexposure on my monitor?

Way to go, Kiran !! Excellent technique. The clarity of the eyes and that glare...so intense and so well captured.

Kiran, Beautiful intense stare and nice to see the snake in it's mouth . I like seeing the underside of the tail feathers and how sharp the image is.

I love images like this that capture a bird in the middle of something unique. Nice detail and composition, and the low eye-level angle is great. The image seems to have too much of a warm color cast to it (i.e. the grass is not true green). Perhaps you photographed the bird in very warm light, but I thought I'd post a rework to see what you thought.

Kiran....well done. shows the act of peeling nicely. Is that a striped keelback?

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and suggestions.

And thank you David for taking time out to work on this, it sure adds well, I thought of this at first but let it go as I thought the natural light effect would be best.

@KD, yes its a buff stripped keel back snake.

Thank you all again for all the love,

    Thanks Again,

    Kiran

This is a terrific catch. I might be tempted to try a vertical crop to eliminate the dead space to the right and left.

Another great shot Kiran, sure the bird is making a meal out of that snake. I like David's repost better although the original colors are most likely faithful.

This is mind blowing shot . Never managed to get so close to a raptor , let alone one which was devouring a snake !! Love the original here .
