    Hi Everyone
James has kindly agreed to this post so that members can post a one only image each which brings a smile to the viewer.
If possible brief metadata would be appreciated so we can all learn but this is not a requirement.
Also it is not necessary that the picture was taken this year.
Just a neat image to share.
    Here is my contribution.
    Where's my apple?
    Focal length 200mm.1/250 F8 800 ISO.
    Have fun: Ian Mc :)

Nice idea, Ian! I made this one on Long Island in the summer. The little skimmer practiced flapping and the memories make me smile and the caption is "Look, I can almost fly!" :)

    This thread - Good call.

    'Feel the chill'
Taken last September in Svalbard, about 350miles from the North Pole. The Pack ice starts to form now allowing the Polar bear to hunt. At this time of the year the sun really doesn't set.

Early this year, this family of Great Horn Owl brought a lot of joy to local birders and nature photographers.

    Eastern-screech Owls

Taken in my backyard many years ago with my two small daughters standing next to me. The Owl babies had never seen a human before and my girls had never seen a Owl before. A very special moment for me in nature photography.

What a fun thread. Hard to choose just one, but this great horned owl chick examining his foot always brings a smile to my face. Such a look of intense curiosity.
