    Default Glaucous gull in action

Glaucous gull doing what they do best - feeding on whatever organic material is available - in this case a deer carcass, lying on a rocky beach at low tide. I realise the head angle could be better, but of the several images I obtained, this was the best one that showed the bird actually intent on looking at something.

D300, 300 f/4 AF-S + Kenko Pro 1.4TC, hand-held but supported on car seat, last weekend. Port George, Nova Scotia.

ISO 1000, 1/400. F5.6, some selective sharpening and Noise Ninja applied.

    Excellent Richard !!!

Like the exposure and intense look in the bird !!! Might only wish to have a little more of the carcass !! Excellent image !!!

Hi Richard - I am fine with the HA in this - the inclusion of the Carcass is what makes it - It adds to and completes the story.
Little noise in the BG - might add some NR.
    Well done!!

Nice moment in the life theme - like it as presented.

Do you need a bean bag for Christmas (SMILE).
