    Default Skimmerhorns



    This is an image of the Skimmerhorns which are part of the Purcell Range, and border the eastern side of the Creston Valley in Southeastern British Columbia.

    This a combination of 4 exposures merged to HDR in PS, processed in Photomatix, & with a combination of a few filters applied with Color Efex.

    Model: Canon EOS REBEL T1i & Sigma 50-500mm
    Shutter Speed: 1/60 1/125 1/250 1/500 second
    Aperture: F/8
    Focal Length: 500 mm
    ISO Speed: 100

    Brent, I love the scene and the peacefulness to it. The blue color tones look nice to me and the sky has some interest. It appears to need some sharpening. I might tone down a few brights spots in the snow at the right lower portion of the image. Very nice image!!

    Boy, that ridge of blowing snow across the top is really nice! I agree with Denise about the hot spots - a little toning down on those areas and this will be a real keeper. You can almost feel the cold (Oh...wait...it IS cold!) Nice conversion, Brent.

    Thank you both for your feedback...I'll take your advice regarding the hot spots and see what I can come up with.
