Hi everyone, I think this should be my 1,000th post and I've enjoyed every minute of it. This was my first (presentable) snow effect. I used the ps snow effects tutorial that Chris posted (thanks Chris) and then
added a rain filter and a slight DAP, desaturated a tad and then added a slight warming filter. I learned a lot from the tutorial and I realize how much I don't know:o The tutorials should keep me busy for the rest of my life:D

Cheryl, Big congrats on the milestone and your participation in this forum has been outstanding! I love the snow and the soft blue sky. The birds look nicely arranged and I don't mind the merge as it has some interest. Love the softness to this.

That could have been at Bosque. I like the snow effect as it does not seem artificial. I also like the spacing and angles of the birds.

Congratulations on reaching IK, Cheryl! You did a great job with the snow; it looks very natural. Like the different flight poses of the birds.

Congrats, Cheryl but 1,000 posts pales in comparison to this image. I think it is spectacular. terrific work!

Thanks everyone. I've learned so much since I joined BPN and everyone here is such an inspiration to me.
(And I wish it was the Bosque) I thought I would get there this year but now I'm hoping for next November.
Maybe I'll be posting 3 or 4K by then:)

Very nice image and application Cheryl.

I hope the snow isn't a prediction for this climate. Not much farther south to go!!!

The flocks should be arriving down here soon, along with the seaonal "Snow Birds". We have four Sandhills visiting our yard daily now, so it should be soon for the rest to come to Merritt and Sanibel, etc. Finally!

    Cheryl,

I love this shot and treatment. The brown and blue colors are wonderful and the snow gives it a nice textured appearance.
