    My first ever spider picture

Went on a mini one day company trip with people from work, found this guy (or gal) on the way down from dry waterfall (not a single drop of water :(). First I went for a tigher crop but then decided to leave more room to include more of the web. Wish the web is less dirty without leaves or debris, but that would be hard to come by.

Having a hard time focusing this guy. Also did tried to go for f8 but the DOF was very similar to this one, probably need to go more. This would be wonderful if this was in the morning after a cold night so there will droplets sticking all over the web :D

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

Fine looking spider and they are hard to do !!!

Like the wide open approach to show the web and center position is just fine !! Spider is very sharp and well exposed, lots of detail !!

With these I like to start wide and work my way to an extreme close up, will also vary the aperture to select later the best look !! ... usually end up with an extreme of wide open or lots of dof !!!

With macro a longer lens will be easier since you will have more distance to your subject, I like the 180 and use with converter all the time !!!! ... extension tubes are also a good thing to have !!!! Excellent !!!

    Hi Thanaboon,
A excellent capture on this little guy. I like the wide angle perspective and the position of your subject in frame, you have sharp details and good color rendition. I could not resit on altering your fine image just a tad to show you the image through my eyes...I hope you don't mind...:)
I boosted the contrast and saturation just a little, cleaned up the debris on the spider web and selective sharpened the eyes...see if you like...

Good job, Thanaboon! I personally prefer your less contrasty post, but like that Gus removed the orangy bit of material in the lower right. The other pieces of web debris are not that distracting to me. I like the softer palette of your original; it's very pleasing.

Hi - Good HA on the spider ;) - Like it a lot, somewhere between the original and Gus's repost for my personal tastes.
    :)
