    Default Back from Cody

Hello to all. I just got back from Cody, Wyoming where Dale Franz and Mike introduced me to their part of the world, mostly the big horn sheep. All I can say is WONDERFUL!!:D:D Thank you Dale for a great adventure! And I can report the D300 works through snow and temps down to -14, along with the Nikon 70-300VR lens:eek:. Now as far as the human, well the hot bath at the end of the day sure felt good! But, that being said all was well worth it with action like this, especially when you think this was taken with the lens at 116mm. Other settings were f/7.1, iso 800, 1/1250.

Cool action and I like how you got it in the shade with nicely subtle light and good detail in the animals. BG tonality (it is brighter) not so much that it draws the eye.

Love the action Nancy ... it this the same pair Mike posted?

Can add might take a little from the left to have more room in front of the animals !! Big Congrats ... I'm sure it was one fine trip !! Its always fun with Dale and Mike !!!

Robert and Al thanks!! Al their were at least 4 pair of rams going at it, so not sure if these were the same pair or not. During that afternoon there was so much action going on I was not sure which way to point the camera!

Great image! Love how the ram on the right is completely in the air.

Great shot, Nancy. I haven't seen this good of a ram action shot in a long while. Nicely done.

Another fine Ram pair action image, they do appear very ruthless. I wonder if their fighting is ever fatal?

    Nancy,

Wonderful image. Love the action captured.

    Marc,

A few years back two battling rams went over the cliff falling to their deaths in Alberta.
