    Default Crane Duo

Sandhill Cranes usually take off in family groups of two or more, giving us a chance to catch them in synced patterns. I was pleasantly surprised to also get head shadows on these. "Two heads are better than one."

Great positioning on both birds, excellent sharpness and exposure David.

I kinda like the head shadows on the inner wings.

Perhaps just a bit of CW rotation?

Beautiful David, very pleasing image, with nice symmetry in golden light.
Now if we could just crank up the landing gear on the second SC :D

Hey David, did you used the cloning tool to get two birds in the frame?:p:)
Wow, they are really synchronized. I like a lot the shadow of the head in the right wing of both birds, the sinchronization of wing beat, light and action. Very good capture

Great job of getting both birds in sharp focus and with synchronized wing movements. I too like the head shadows. To my eye, to rotation looks OK as presented. IMO, this strong image would be even better if you selectively blurred the background a bit. Well done.

Thanks for all comments and suggestions. The rotation was a bit tricky as I had the small hill line (running behind front bird) and water line to balance between.

I agree. I'll do some further touch up on the bg. Thanks, Steve.

Great shot!! I love the shadow on the wing and how silimar the poses look. If anything I would add some more room to the right to make this more of a pano crop.
