    Took this image yesterday at Green Cay. There have been several ruby throated hummingbirds flying around the fire bushes but it is sometimes difficult to get good lighting. They certainly are a joy to watch.

    I always get a kick out of these little birds when they stretch :)

    Overall, I think you might be able to brighten this up with a little levels work Judy?

    Also...a little cleanup at the far RH corner of the perch where it looks as though some OOF bit of whatever was in the way?

    Would it look to unlike what your eyes saw when you created this is you warmed it up just a bit?

    Sharp image, cool little bird you must have been pretty close with 300...thanks for sharing...ditto on OOF bit.

    Hummingbird with 300mm. In a non-setup environment. Are you kidding me? WOW. loved the composition. big fan of diagonal lines. Excellent pose as well. NR on BG will help a lot. Its taking a little fun out of the beautiful bokeh.

    A cool pose, Judy. I also like the dual diagonals of the perch and beak, the sharpness, and the way the bird stands out from the background.
