I'm just back from my first trip to Bosque and I thought I would jump in here with (what else :) ) an image of a flying crane - taken at the crane pools on a 16 degree (F) morning. 40D, 500 f/4, 1/1250, f/7.1, ISO 400, hand held. Comments are welcome.

Nice capture Steve with perfect wing position. Exposure looks good and nice light qualities. I might sharpen the head some. Congrats

Nice job Steve, agree with Brian's comments. Nice detail, timing, and placement in frame.

Good exposure, perfect straight-up wingstroke, and nice sky colour too.

Nice wing position. The chin looks a tad bright. 16 degrees was about average in the mornings on my IPT. Chilly willy.
