Another one from Marievale Bird Sanctuary. This was a magical moment when this heron decided to slowly fly across the water in beautiful golden light. I had too much lens but was very lucky that a few came out just right. This is a 5% crop (for composition) and I did saturation, levels, curves and sharpening. Please feel free to comment!

Perfect light and posture Isak. Great depth of field to keep the back wing in focus. No nits from me

Isak, the light is lucious, the BG is smooth and buttery. The sharpness and plane of focus are superb.

    Brilliant really.

Great light and details. I would prefer it without the orange spot in front of the bill but like it as is.

Really a beautiful capture. Very nice use of the light and the depth of field to keep both wings sharp. Love the textures on the wings and the eye seems to just pop for this image. I'm not sure about the orange in front of the bird. You certainly got some beautiful light.

Well, I hate to say this here, but this is the best-ever flight photograph of this species. By far. Sweet light. So sharp. Butter background. Lovely wing position.

Later and love and keep them coming. artie

ps: Only way to top with is with the full banking position...
