One of my favorite oc images from this summer at Cupsogue County Park, Long Island. This is a beach that is quite accessible with great subjects, yet is rarely used by photographers. I converted this image in ACR, did a few slight adjustments, and used the patch tool to remove the tip of a beak from another bird on the left side. No crop.

Grace, Beautiful soft color tones in the water and the BG. Very nice composition that you captured in camera. I like this very much.

Hi Grace: I absolutely love the mood you have captured here. I like the slight movement of the waves and the fog. I think I would take a sliver off of the left. You have nice details in the white and the blacks. Dreamy.

Grace, Beautiful pale colors and I agree an almost dreamy look. Very peaceful looking image. Nice details and exposure. Very nicely done.

Wonderful soft lighting, I too would take a tad off the left side. A beauty of an image none the less.

Hi Grace, I like it!. I agree with Denise that the image does have a dreamy feel to it. Great job on the exposure as I see good details in the darks and lights. You could take off a little on the left but if it were mine I think I would leave it as presented. Thanks for sharing.

This must be one of the most beautiful beach birds ever. Love the light and dreamy mood in this one. Composition wise can't ask for any better.

I know a lot of people like to see the feet, I am not one of them. I enjoy this type of image with a Dreamy look.
    Congratulations.

Darn, my Mother just threw a Yahtzee on me. Five sixes. I was only a Cupsogue once, on a foggy morning in OCT and it was great. Was this on the ocean side?

I like the disappearing legs and feet in this one and the soft light.

Thanks so much, everyone, for your comments. I considered a bit off the left and a smidge off the bottom, appreciate all opinions.

Artie, this was on the bay side.

Lovely image Grace. The photo creates a very nice mood and technically I really like how you have held details in both the whites and balcks. Good for you and nice to see. Dave

This is beautiful, I love the incredible contrast between bird and its colors and the background and the feet into the sand is just awesome.

Jeez Grace....don't know how I missed this one?

I like everything about it from the soft dreamy essence to the exposure and sharpness on the subject.

Maybe I just passed it over the first time cause I was jealous :)
