    Default Female Wood Duck Portrait

I haven't taken a lot of portraits, but I am taking more as the opportunity arises. Here is one that I think is interesting. Let me know what you think. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Canon EOS 50D with 600mm f/4 L IS
    ISO 200 f/5 1/640sec

    Rodney:

Sharp on the eye and bill. Perhaps just a bit bright for my taste. I might consider cropping up a bit from the bottom to move here off the horizontal midline.

I would have considered upping the ISO a bit to allow more DOF.

Portraits when they are doing something can be fun!

    Cheers

    Rodney:

One simple thing to try. I found there were a some hot pixels in the image. Pulled the recovery slider to 50 in ACR to eliminate those, and it also brought down the overall brightness of the image a bit.

Might be worth a quick try on your part to see what you think.

Rodney, the repost is singing! Great head angle and action captured. Female Wood duck looks like the ID.
Agree with Randy in the ISO increase.

Nice repost. I like the low angle and the action captured. Randy made a good point regarding the ISO. Glad you reposted it. It looks good.
