Another image from the Delta trips we did earlier this year, taken in early morning sweet light. The eagles were baited with small fish. Comments always welcome:)

chris we have total winner here. what a moment freezed. reflection over the wing is bonus and the expo is just bang on. a very thin glow around the white actually adds lot for me.

What a shot...The light on the wings is terrific and the exposure on the whites is spot on.

Super image Chris. However, the glow Mital spoke about, is something I find unnatural and distracting. Was it created by blurring the BG? Also, the top wings left feather tip seems to have been blurred too. Other than that, I love the pose and light. Also wish for a slightly better head angle. I like the vertical crop.

Beautiful.......a bit more room on the left and in my wildest dreams, a bit more of a head turn....but it's wonderful just the way it is.

Excellent banking angle Chris, and just love the full show of the wings. I like the waters reflection cast on the underwing, and overall, this is tack sharp. Great capture.

Great "Van Rooyen" light enhanced by the water reflecting it up to the wings. Gorgeous bird very well captured.

Chris, I can't add too much as everything has been said, but I particularly like the reflection on the wing. Beauty of a shot.

Certainly made great use of the light. I really like the way you have captured all the detail in an action shot. Lovely pose as well. Dave

Reminds me of your painting on the cover of Robert's, Chris. Superb plumage detail and pose.

Thanks guys, I'm overwhelmed by the response! Mark I have indeed been a bit sloppy with my layer mask (I should not process images late at night!) , trust you to pick up on that:-)

Chris the pose and exposure are too good!! Love the BG and exceptional underwing detail. Slightly beter eye contact or a different flightpath would have made this even better IMHO. Thanks for showing this awesome capture

This one is simply uotstanding and just over the top IMO, although in a perfect world the bird would've given you a tad better HA I still think this is amazing! Congratulaitons!
