Great capture. Exposure, composition, sharp eye contact are great. I would just think of getting rid of the blue in front of the birds and the reflection. They take away from a very strong image.

Thank you for your comment and suggestion. The 'blue' in front of the birds is actually part of the mating behaviour. These are little bubbles and ripples created by the female's beak just before the mating. As to the reflection, since nothing was cloned out or altered in this image I prefer to leave it as is but I do see what you are saying.

    Quite right Ofer!

I have several images of the full mating sequence of our lovely mating stilts including the "post coital" waltz when the male covers the female with its wing, beaks touching.

We males could learn something from these beautiful creatures. (My wife's comment)

Excellent exposure Ofer, and I like the concentration portrayed from both birds. Overall, both nice and sharp, and just love their red eyes. Well captured.

Beautiful image. The exposure is right on, as are the lighting and the composition.
I would love to see more from the series.

I think it's a wonderful image Ofer....exposure, sharpness, composition are right as they should be to my eyes.

I am jealous as stilts are one of my favorite birds and I have never seen one in real life.

A wonderful image, I like the fact you did not clone out the bubbles. To many photographers think images should be cloned to the point of sterlization.
