    Default Long-billed Curlew

Here is a Long-billed in the late afternoon light, This time I tried a slightly different pose to get the back feathers plus a head turn instead of the usual parallel-to-sensor view, I could crop tighter but I wanted to include a bit more of the habitat which consists of mud lands here in the SF bay area.

7D + 400 f/4 DO @ f/4 1/2000sec ISO 400 sw: Canon DPP 3.7 Digital processing: NR on BG and crop here is a larger version if you like to see more details.

    Hope you like it

Very nice image. I liked the lighting, pose, angle and feather detail. The red channel is clipped, though.

This is a beautiful image - pose, light, detail, sharpness, shooting angle - are all here. However, I feel that it needs some levels adjustment.
The only adjustments I did are levels, S/H and some cooling - no added saturation or contrast. The light was really superb!!

Arash, I like the low angle, light, and colours. Good comp, and you certainly did capture a great HA. Well done.

Arash. Great capture. These are remarkably photogenic birds and you've caught him nicely. The repost really makes it pop.

    Beautiful image, Arash.
Great eye contact and angle. I like the mud on its legs!
