    Default Barred Owl on Target

Used a 300mm f4 with my MkIII to grab this guy at 1/1000, f5.6, at ISO 640 and handheld. Thanks to Mao for loaning me his lens ... :)

    Thanks for looking :)

Cool pose, good sharpness, soft light and interesting BG. I only find it a bit tight in the frame.

Stunnnig shot, perfect pose, light, and simply outstanding BG IMO. A tad more saturation could help I think.

Love the in your face pose with the great eye contact. I agree about being tight and needing a tad more sat.

Wonderful shot Bill, the 300 f/4 is a good choice in the woods. Nice and light and sharp, as your image shows.

A little late posting here but this is a magnificent image Bill. BG perfectly shows his environment and tack sharp. Those huge black eyes are gorgeous and I love the wing position. Congrats
