Hi everybody, I am so bussy these days that I have not been able to participate at all, but as I have been after this shot for a month now, I wanted to share it with you, this pigeon is not tame at all and after a lot of work I managed to get this flight shot I wanted. Hope you like it. Enjoy.

Sharp and can be with a great pose and BKGR. Was the bird coming to food?

It looks a lot like the band-tailed Pigeon from the western US.

Hi Ramon, This is very nice. Good light, nice and sharp, and well exposure while capturing good action. I also like the background. One beautiful image. Thanks for sharing.

Hi all, thanks you for you kind words.
Artie, yes the Bird was coming to a feeder, here's the RAW file were you can actually see the feeder in the LRC.

That's about as pretty as a Pigeon picture can be. Wonderful light and detail in motion.

    very nicely done Ramon,

Thanks Ramon. I might like the wider version better with a QM to cover the feeder.

The original post doesn't have a crop Artie, not even 1% :) I just removed the feeder and cleaned up a tad the BG.

Ah, then it was your background clean-up that fooled me. Please note this relatively new policy from the top of the page:

If you have significantly altered your image by adding or removing elements of the composition, we ask that you let folks know what you have done.

    Thank you sir.

No problem Artie, I usually always do, and if not is because I will be sharing the Raw file eventuslly :), but, ok, sounds excellent that sharing the PP technique is strongly suggested.

Excellent shot Ramon! To get the dof just right at f4 and so close you must have gone through a few images.

Brilliant IQ Ramon, and this is really tack sharp. I like the landing posture, and the pigeon pops so well from the BG. Great image.
