Default Scaup in blue and gold

    40D. 400 f/5.6. iso 640. f/5.6. 1/1000. hand-held. Should have gone with lower ISO.

Taken at sunrise. reflection is that of a building and sky. Is it lesser or greater scaup? I am leaning towards greater because of the head shape. 1st winter plumage.

I think I know some PP that I need to do...play with curves and color sat, clone the white spots and lighten the iris. More advice needed though.

    Thanks in advance.

Kaustubh, I like what the repost did for the duck. I do prefer the BG in the orig. Very nice water colors and I like the reflected water on the duck.

Thx Denise. I agree. There was a cast on the duck in OP. I did some color temp adjustment which changed the BG colors too.

The repost is better for the duck. The BKGR colors and patterns do not thrill me; maybe some more saturation on the BKGR only would help (for me). Maybe they can build a different building there. And yes, with the round head this is a greater.

Artie, I agree that a more color saturated BG will look better. Since the red channel was close to the right edge, I did not push it further....but I will try now. Thx a lot for suggestion. as always.
