    Default 'Wings Of Fire '

Made this at a place near Pune . I dont think that any other big bird can match the grace and beauty of these beauties , called ' agnipankh' in Marathi which means 'Wings of Fire '.

    Exposure Time = 1/2000"
    F Number = F5.6
    Exposure Program = Aperture priority
    ISO Speed Ratings = 160
    Exposure Bias Value = -0.33EV
    Metering Mode = Spot

    Comments and critique appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Rakesh

What a lovely way to capture these birds. As a composition for colour, the pinks and reds really stand out, but as a bird photo I think it could be a bit brighter. It's a pity about the background around the leading bird's beak - I think if you could remove this it would make the picture amazing.

By the way, did you do anything in post-processing to the background?

Rakesh...loved the image a lot. Beautiful poses. Strong graphical elements. And feeling some extra-special love as its from my hometown :-)

One thing working against you is the light. Did you try pulling out some details in the shadows?

    Which camera and lens?

    Rakesh:

another vote for removing the birds in the background around the lead birds head. Brighten the image a bit as mentioned. The combination of legs, wings and heads is very strong, background interesting but subdued, this is a winner.

    Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rakesh, as said by everyone this pic has a good composition and is well shot. Lightening the details would certainly bring out a lot. Congrats!!
