A bit depressing to some. There is incredible beauty to be found in it when one looks hard enough. The life of a leaf at its end.

God's precious light and love to all,

Chris, I love the haiku and especially the last line. The image is great. I love the feeling of isolation. Very well done.

You pose a really interesting contradiction, Chris, and it works.

The words are, as intended, "tough," and the leaf is so exquisitely beautiful.

    Great originality.

Very nice, Chris! I, too, believe there is beauty to every stage of life - this makes a beautiful and poignant point.

Not depressing at all, Chris. Well written and the image is lovely and crisp with the frost pefectly outlining the spent leaf. Regeneration of life.

Willits the home of Seabiscuit, right? Seabiscuit the book by Laura Hillenbrand was one fine read.
