    40D, 1-400L @ 310mm, f6.3, 1/60s, ISO 800, + 1/3 EC, removed a couple of mullein stalks poking into/out of body parts, slight crop all around.

    Lovely shot, Steve and the background is wonderful - looks like more mullein. Nice look and majestic antlers - a real beauty here.

    I like this buck very much, Steve- sharp, beautiful colours, eye contact and the look he gives you. Well framed by his environment- like the subtle tones of the grass complimenting the buck's colours.

    Yes Ken, he's real. This is a Mule Deer. He's practicing his best taxidermy pose just in case the hunters get him.
