    Default Another Miss Bluebird contestant

    Hi all,

Here's another sweet young Bluebird girl, who posed many nice ways for me this morning. There were several shots in this series that I might have chosen besides this one... head up, head down, looking straight into my lens... I sure don't know if this was the best one. But this is the one I chose to process for now:

She's really a lovely little bird and I hope you enjoy seeing her. I'm not sure my capture does her justice, but any feedback on the photo will be welcome and might help me do a better job next time I shoot her (...tomorrow probably :)).

Beautiful shot Ken. Great BG, nice sharpness and detail. Color also looks natural. Perch is a tad blurry for my taste. I imagine others will say the HA is not so good, but I like it. I normally wouldn't crop so tight, but I think it works well with the angle of the head looking back.

Sharpness and BG look very nice. I would go for a slightly wider crop and put the bird a tad further to the right in the frame.

    Thanks for your comments Jim,

I continue to shoot a bit too close with long FL I fear... making tight crops and overly shallow DOF. I really must work on this.

    Thanks Axel,

I don't disagree... I was just too close here.
