    Default Breaking Wave, Rocky Beach

This was created in the San Diego/La Jolla area. Anybody know the exact spot?

Canon 24-105mm IS L lens handheld at 92 mm. ISO 200. Evaluative metering +2/3 stop: 1/2 sec. at f/22 in Tv Mode. IS surely helped to keep the rocks sharp handheld at 1/2 sec....

Very nice and hand-held is quite an accomplishment. I like the silky water, and the textures of the water over the rocks

Wow! The sharp rocks, the gorgeous colored water, the way the image seems to be divided into thirds-it just all comes together very nicely.

I don't know where it is Art. But I love the artistic side here. Specifically the silky water, the round smooth stones and the lines in the water. Down right different, and good at that.

Diagonal was a good move. Just the right amount of rocks showing. Both amount to a well composed image.

Thanks Robert. So where is the spot? You have been within 50 feet of it. The trick is that nobody bothers to look.... This image is almost always there...

Well I would guess that it was the rocky beach area near Scripps after you walked north from La Jolla Shores Beach. I did some images of the surf and rocks and the formations on the beach there.

Hi Art, Simple but effective composition. Good division of the comps various parts with a diagonal placement. The silky water flow is pleasing along with the color and even lighting. Nice one!

my - what steady hands you've got Maestro! :)

I love the compositional elements here with the swirling wave creating a lot of movement and interest - not to mention texture contrasts. very creative! this'll make me think twice about my upcoming walks on the beach :)

Oh - and I don't know where this is... ;)

Thanks Mork. It is more the short lens IS than the my (un-) steady hands.
