I did another one of my boat images from Bar Harbor. I wasn't sure about the comp. for this w/ the masts in the center-but for some reason I do like it w/ the stormy sky and the couple of small boats on the right.I added a gentle snow. I did a topaz adjust and simplify.

I recall this image or one very similar.
For me, the masts are positioned very nicely as are all the docked boats.
Nice dynamics in the sky without being overpowering......quite nice overall

I love it. It looks like a painting. Can you share the original image?

It's beautiful - the sky really pulls it together. I've never been near open water when it snows so this is a bit foreign looking to me but it works very well together.

Denise, Painterly image done very effectively. Splashes of color along with the snow enhance the image....

Beautiful image, Denise. Composition looks very good, and it has a nice painterly feel with just the right amount of snow. Well done!

Thanks for the ORIG Denise. It is nice, and I like the careful framing, but the painterly stuff really improved it. What program do you use to do that?

Thanks Artie, I used Topaz Adjust and Topaz Simplify. The programs are fairly inexpensive and I usually mask back in some of the details so it doesn't look overly done.
