    Default Bonaparte's gull

I have been practising flight photography on some gulls. Took many photos over the weekend. A challenging subject I think....not overhead...but close to the water. How do you like this composition? 60-70% crop.

    40D. 400 f/5.6. iso 400. f/6.3. 1/1600. I did toast the whites in camera.

I like the turned head a lot. The white parts may be recoverable if you shot in RAW.

I do not mind too much about the whites in this case and, like Chuck, said it is very easy to fix the problem if you are shooting RAW. I like the head turn a lot and the great eye contact :-)

Juan, Chuck....yes I shoot RAW but I really toasted them :-) I plan to shoot these again some time soon and will get it right next time. I got multiple decent shots...but posted this one as I liked the criss-cross of the gull with the waves. No rotation done in PP.

    Thx a lot
