    Default Sleepy Teal

Another from this past Thursday. I used a bit of fill flash to get detail in the blacks under the tail.

This is terrific! I love the eye peeking out and the feather detail. Lovely all-around mono color with just the green stripe that leads the viewer to its eye. I think it needs some rotation adjustment.

Great details, mood and colors, just a bit tight in the frame for my taste.

Taylor--Even though your pretty low --your still too high. Your camera angle should have us looking at the subject at mid body height. Also for a single isolated subject --something--such as a pond ripple color and/or tonal gradation--should tie the subject to the sides of the frame. Otherwise the viewer is left feeling uneasy and will not want to linger on the image. This particuar bird has eluded me for a great shot so this is actually better than anything that I have got.
