    Default Theme Snow: Snow falling on Redwoods

    We very seldom get snow here in December. For some reason though we got some today. Thank you Lord!
    Canon 50 D
    Canon 28-105 @60mm
    F4.0 @ 1/30th sec.
    ISO 400
    Manual exposure
    Alien Bee 1600 Studio flash set to 3/4 power
    Shot in Raw and converted into 4 image exposures the processed in Photomatix as an HDR and then Tone mapped.

    i have shot this same scene a number of times over the years. i keep trying different variations.

    Chris, The redwoods look good in snow! I might try to tone down the one large flake top and center. Nice idea w/ the vertical,almost looks like a vertical pano.

    Chris, real snow! I agree with Denise about the one large bright flake at the top. I like the vertical.
