When 7 small and 3 large generators were on line today and the weather was clear at the Conowingo dam, photographers assembled there were hopeful of significant eagle activity. But there were relatively few birds, and they weren't especially active near the photographers.

Still, this eagle made the trip worthwhile.

Look-back pose and sharpness look good and good that you got one with clean tail. You probably could have gotten away with ISO 400 in this light.

I agree, there was not too much going on and I was walking back and forth to stay warm.

The pose looks good, great details! The look-back adds to it. Overall the image looks kind of dark on my monitor for some reason.

Very nice shot, I like the pose the exposure and everything is sharp.

I envy you, I had lots of eagles at Lake Coeur d'Alene this morning, filled (2) 4GB cards, but had to shoot at ISO1600 just to stay at 1/800 second. Not doing too well cleaning them up so far.

Nice shot, the far wing position is ideal so is the HA and eye contact. Wish there was a better BG but a nice shot as is. Nice exposure and handling of noise, TFS
