Not as many snowgeese in Bosque this year. Sitting in the airport waiting for delayed flight.....might be a while! Bright overcast in late morning....all the way out to 800mm and cropped off bottom........hence all the rooom!
Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 300-800 @ 800mm for 1/1250 sec at f6.3 and ISO 800 all tripod mounted w/wimberly head.

I like the landing pose, eye contact and BG and only wish we could see the underside of the bird's left wing better. I might clean the forehead a bit.

    Have a safe trip back!

Not many geese to get these kind of shots this year. Well done, Roman. I love the background and detail on the bird. I'd agree about cleaning up the forehead, beak.

Excellent landing pose and great exposure on the whites, what a nice golden BG. The bird somewhat lacks any feather detail in the neck and belly area though, looks too smooth maybe too much NR?
    Great image anyway, TFS
